q Built training organization from scratch. Proposed the structure, deliverables, and resources for newly required global training organization. I recruited and hired a staff of course developers and instructors to assist in the development of a profitable training organization for two technical products at Oblix, Inc. (1999-2001). Additionally, our team established delivery capabilities on three continents.
q Project managed multi-million dollar events. Owned the design, development and delivery of large-scale Sales and Technical Sales Conferences for thousand plus partner and employee resources. Hired staff, managed creative, content development, logistics, and executive management.
q Led learning organization to record profitability with Gross Margin percentage of ~40%. Recruited to serve as Director of Education Services for Docent, Inc. (2002-2004). I increased training revenues by 15% quarter over quarter through expanded marketing strategies and improved customer satisfaction approaches. From quarter prior to arrival to current quarter revenues increased 53%.
q Designed new company product in business development capacity. Designed and deployed new Learning Management System ASP product for customers requiring fast, targeted, and simple execution. From inception to first live customer was 90 days. Generated first $100K for company within first quarter.
q Managed International Developers
Conference Curriculum. To build a stronger user community, I designed a conference itinerary
of 33 beginning, intermediate, and advanced technical and business training
sessions for PayPal and eBay 3rd Party Developers. Session delivery included involvement
from senior executives to community members to program staff.
q Increased customer
satisfaction rating
to from 7.0 to 9.2 out of 10 for customers and partners taking instructor led and
online training modules. I established new instructor led training templates
for course development and new online templates for elearning
offerings.
q Merged Education Services
teams from
Docent and Click2Learn. I participated in facilitated efforts to abstract
information from key leaders, managers, and individual contributors. We
identified current processes and determined best practices for new company.
